    Default Reinstalled windows XP.

    After a bout of a real nasty virus, I decided to do a clean install of Windows XP. Everything is working great but for the life of me I cannot get my audio to work (and the speakers do work). I've tried to install new sound drivers but I'm not sure I'm doing it right. If anyone can give me a little help, I'd appreciate it.

    Oh and I guess this might help, here are my computer's specs.

    having bought a laptop with Windows 7 pre-installed, I disagree.

    no windows operating system is "excellent," but windows 7 is far, far more functional than xp, with less hiccups.
