    ya apparently this is a common problem with acer

    i bought an aspire 5739g and it occasionally crackles but nothing as bad as yours.

    i have nothing to contribute to this thread.

    best solution is to not buy a shitty notebook like acer

    Well then install the right driver you twat. Or it's probably just a matter of switching to the internal sound card, assuming you have one or isn't fried. Do that in Device Manager.
