Thumbs down Problem with maximum resolution.

I'm a little confused about my maximum resolution. My monitor is 1080p HD ready and my GPU's maximum reported resolution is 1920x1080.

This is where the problem comes in. In my Windows display properties, it only allows a maximum resolution of 1600x900, which is what I'm running on now. Is there any way of getting a higher resolution?

    System Specs -

Monitor - LG Flatron W2043S VGA
GPU - Sappire Radeon HD 3650 (fully updated drivers)

    Thanks for your time.

I have it hooked up via a DVI - VGA converter. As my monitor is VGA and GPU is DVI only.

You have a 1080P HD monitor with a VGA only input. wut...

I think your monitor only supports up to that resolution.

I am probably as confused as you are over this. On the LG website, they state in the monitor specs that it capable of full HD. Here is the info -

    EDIT

I just noticed in the specs that it's maximum resolution on the site is 1600x900. So technically that is not full HD, as advertised...
