Default Wireless Hard Drive / Storage Server

    Hi there people,

I'm looking to set up a wireless hard drive in a small workplace/business of a friend.

He has litterally about 2/3 employees and would like them to be able to access a single external hard drive on the network and share/store files.

He also was hoping of a way to have this hard drive back itself up to a nother wireless hard drive so he can have 2 exact copies of the data on the hard drive, just one of them is a back up.

Whaddya reckon is the best way to come around this?

I was litterally gonna google 'Wireless Hard Drive' find a decent price, and go from there.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers!

I wasn't aware wireless hdd existed.
edit: after a quick google the best i came up with was a mediaserver with wireless capabilities.
are you sure wireless hdds exist or are you just taking 2 technologies and mashing them together and hoping such a thing exists lol.

Well i suppose you are right haha, I almost assumed there would be a specific wireless hard drive to connect to.

Any suggestions on what could be done?

I could use this 'media server' and use it purely for the purpose of storing 'work files' and ignore the 'media/streaming features' if there are no other options.

it was from a guy whom i later did.

I don't know why you want wireless, but you could just set up network access to a certain folder on a computer that basically acts as a server. I would almost recommend getting a NAS and throwing 1 or 2 hard drives into it.
