Does anyone have an opinion on which is better? I am trying to get a new phone and both seem really similar (other than the Droid X being newer) except for the fact that the Droid X is MASSIVE.
Fuck Blackberry.
I personally support any high-end Android phone...I'd probably grab the Droid X if I was in the market myself, but I'm still happy with my N1 and will be for a long time.
You really can't go wrong with either. You'll need to play with both phones to see which skin you like better, Sense on the Incredible or the Not-So-But-Still-Is-Blur on the X. I played with the X a lot and I don't like the size. There are some things that bigger != better. Either way they will both support Android 2.2 and it will be a matter of form factor. Both phones are terrific but if I had the option I would go with the Incredible. Don't forget that the Droid 2 is right around the corner. It will basically be the X in a refined version of the first Droid.
Droid 2 has a physical keyboard, which Swype has basically made unnecessary. Some people still like the physical keyboard, of course - some preferences die hard, but I'll never buy a physical keyboard phone again.
iPhone 4
I consider that a bonus feature.
Yeah. It’s good to be yourself. Same with you, I will try to do something. So I support your decision!
Fuck all that. BlackBerry Torch 9800~ I just picked one up thanks to the fine folks @ CrackBerry.com. I won it in one of their contests last week. Iphones and Droids are nothing but toys. Nice expensive toys but BlackBerry's are just as great in the business world. If mommy and daddy are still buying your phones- sure get a Droid or Itoy~ but if you're all grown up and paying for your own phone- you best invest in a BlackBerry 'cause it'll help you in the business world!
I have an iPhone in the business world because my work phone (Storm) sucks ass.
Our whole office is on iPhones. Blackberry was great three years ago but the 3GS and 4 have blown the blackberrys out of the water. The only exception is the Tour, which was a perfect world phone. The big problem was that it didn't work in Korea or Japan.
I still use my blackberry for international travel because of the ease of switching SIMs, but otherwise, iPhones are no less viable for business.
i had an iphone 3gs for a few months and liked it, aside from the usual apple is controlling and steve jobs is a cock complaints (no flash? seriously? restriction to itunes and compulsory syncing? seriously? etc). now i've got myself an HTC desire, which is everything one could dream. it's a little over-eager in connecting together all the information in my life, perhaps, but some more fiddling and i'll have found the right balance.
gwahir approval: pending
that annoyed me but i've undone it
Emails are convenient for work when you don't have access to your company's global address book.
Fortunately, iPhone automatically syncs to that when I use my work email. Blackberry wasn't as good unless you were on a BES device, which has a whole other pile of costs and benefits.
Not sure what you mean by bumbing treads? Like reviving an old one? If that's true then I don't know what else to do because most of these threads are very old.
And the droid has good battery life. You have to make sure you download task killer so that it closes the apps that you are not using and saves battery life. My battery lasts 2 days and I use it frequently.
which is why 90% of activity here is mafia and flames
my roommate kills his galaxy s in 10 hours of porn and angrybirds, my phone goes like 5 days with moderate calling and heavy texting. And the droid has good battery life. You have to make sure you download task killer so that it closes the apps that you are not using and saves battery life. My battery lasts 2 days and I use it frequently.
Calling and texting uses minimal battery life. It's the use of apps that drain it in no time. So if you are playing on your phone all day it makes sense that it will die sooner.
Ture, but you must consider that I don't have the time to sit on my phone playing angry birds and looking at peoples houses on google earth while checking the NBA and NFL scores and watching porn. After I had my phone for a week, I started doing normal daily activites like school, work, eating my mothers delicious cooking, and attempting to have a real social life.
I mean, if you really want to be on your phone, literally constantly, then I don't think they make a phone with a battery life long enough for that. All I'm saying is even when I do use my phone frequently, the battery life still lasts longer than a day. If you charge it every night or at least sometime through out the day then the droid should be great in terms of battery life.
I HAVE A BLACKBERRY AND LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING MAN THE SHIT SUCKS
I got my allowance but I spent it all on ice cream
i hate my blackberry, although it is a storm 2 (shitty i know but came free with renewal of contract). It is the choppiest piece of shit in the world, i don't even bother buying any apps for it because I know I won't enjoy it. The battery pull to cleanly reboot the blackberry takes about 5 minutes to completely reboot. I just gotta say though, Apple is a star in touch screen devices because my ipod touch 4th gen runs so smoothly, I wish my blackberry was as smooth as that.
plus i have nobody to BBM
u can BBM me friend and we can cry together about how badly our phones are and how we were really high when we went into the verizon store and demanded a phone that costs approx 500x what it should for what it does
I got my allowance but I spent it all on ice cream
just kidding you're a bitch nigga and i dont BBM bitch niggas
I got my allowance but I spent it all on ice cream
Besides everyone is doing pingchat anyway.
id atomicpc add me up yo
:'(
My blackberry is becoming a little more bearable, i'm still searching for a theme for my phone that doesn't cause it to be so shitty laggy. I love how i press the Talk button, and it takes 10 seconds for my dial pad to show up, then 10 seconds to make the call after I press it again.
