Maybe this will get AT&T to being back the unlimited data plan. Doesnt matter to me either way though, I still have it.

Okay I understand the Storm line is terrible but if you really think the Bolds and (recent) Pearls are bad smartphones you're an idiot. They're excellent, especially if you like physical keyboards.
I don't know where you got that Verizon carrying the iPhone has anything to do with balls (likely a lame attempt at humor), but AT&T had the magical thing with Apple called an exclusivity contract.
This is totally location dependent... AT&T service is generally good here but I've heard it's terrible on the coasts. It used to be pretty bad in Kansas (where I have a lot of family) while Verizon had excellent service there. meh
Not being able to use voice and data at the same time will be a step back in the iphone experience, although I've heard it'll have tethering and mobile hotspot.
Now that I think about it, I couldnt get service when I was at home for the first two years I had them. But they built a tower right by my house. So I get plenty good service now.
I think Verizon has been doing well with the Droid, and now their profits will go way up with the iPhone in their market. I'm happy for Verizon, because I haven't really had good service with AT&T. In fact, I kinda hate them, and am glad for this. Although I don't think people need to jump on it like crazy, I'm sure the iPhone 5 will be out in half a year.

The only thing nice about blackberries are the ability for them to be managed through a BES. With the nice phones out in the last 5 years, I don't even know why they are still on the consumer market.

Unlimited data plans are universally going to disappear.
There's going to be more smartphones which means more demands on the network which means more overloading of networks unless data use is curtailed to a degree.
The most profitable and practical way of doing this is by no longer offering unlimited data plans.

This is unfortionate, however if you have a plan with unlimited data, you are "grandfathered" in. At least that's how it works with Verizon.
Wait, so Verizon really doesn't allow simultaneous voice and data? That probably precludes a third or more of my phone calls (conference call on mute, text/email/browsing simultaneously.) I guess about the only thing it won't affect is Google Maps, though I doubt Tom Tom app will work as well. That's pretty fucking awful.
And the trick of the AT&T "call dropping blah blah whine whine new york, seattle, boohoo" is to just switch to EDGE when you need prolonged voice contact. There's no one on the edge network, and it's coverage is denser, so you'll never drop calls.
A friend of mine has a blackberry and I laugh at her for having one, but tbh I have no real knowledge about why they suck. (lol i know)

What are you talking about. I had the curve 4 years ago. It sucked then when it was apparently modern technology and I have a droid two. I never actually said I currently own a blackberry, just that they used to suck, still suck, and will continue to suck despite the fact that you want to yell about it.
Plus this thread isn't even about blackberry it's about the iPhone coming to verizon so you can chill out and relax man.

My blackberry glitches and shits all the time when I'm at home... but it works nicely when I'm at school (I'm sure the 3g at the different locationsi has nothing to do with freezes). But the apps on blackberry still suck shit and they're all a joke. Who the fuck pays $80+ for a theme on their blackberry.
