manhattan: if you are not already moving when a light turns green, you'll hear 3-4 taxi's blaring their horns at you instantly. fucking annoying faggots.
philadelphia: people really dont like using their brakes properly in this city. no clue why.

I haven't been to the subway in nyc but jesus christ Philly's subway system is so fucking grimy. It is an excellent way of getting around though and you only pay a flat fee of 1 token for riding as far as you want. I know in dc you have to pay more depending on how far you go. Bums are all around though and you smell piss a lot, have to deal with a lot of loud blacks and people try and sell you shit all the time. DC's metro is so fucking nice in comparison.
