Cool Took a hiatus, back now.

Well I'm not sure how many months ago I stopped coming here, not even sure why. I was outside a few minutes ago and for some reason LWS popped in my head, then I thought of how long it's been. Anyhow, I figured I'd post some pics of my truck up, now that I've got the funky ass decals off the side and tailgate. Now I just have to learn how to save money so I can get the things I really want on it, e.g., e-locker, rocker panels, ARB bumpers and some other random stuff.

Guess I could include a before shot:

    After:

Stripes coming off in action =P :

You should have just left it say YO on the back. Then you would have been big pimpin all around the 'Ville. Looks real good with the lift and tires though!

Looks a lot cleaner without the late 80s/early 90s style graphics kit. It's not a basketball card from that era so no need for it lol.

Glad to see you made a return.

Ugh I hate non-full size pickups, especially when they're lifted.

I hate people that drive full size pickups and then haul nothing around except their girlfriends fat ass. It's like they're trying to make up for something they lack in another department? I guess I don't hate, I just find it foolish. That, and they put loud ass exhaust on their automatic. Sounds like shit, and let's everyone know that you're a tool that can't drive stick. =) Still <3 in here, you just gave me reason to vent.

I hate lowered chromed-out 1-ton duallies with euro-style lights. Good thing there are few Mexicans down here.

you guys would love northern alberta

i went into a parking lot and of 60 vehicles, 3 were cars, and all the pickups were stylized in one way or another - fancy rims, grills, decals, suspensions and lights in places i didn't even know trucks had

haha Thanks, it's still a work in progress. Someday I'd like to have an e-locker for the rear, straight axle for the front, rocker panel guards, roll bar, etc... I just want to keep it clean, I don't want it to look like a redneck mobile. Just a clean off roader. Right now I'm screwed for the weekend because it turns out pep boys gave me the wrong rear outer axle seals, and I needed a press to get the axle out of the backing plate, so now I don't have new seals, and I'm going to need a press again to put the new ones in the new backing plates. I had drum brakes.

I say its a nice truck, but what sir was the item you used to remove the graphics but not the paint. I mean it looks like some kind of sander but i'd have to assume its something special that won't hurt the paint.

A rubber eraser wheel. We used to use them at the Cadillac dealership to remove competitors stickers from used cars. They leave only a bit of rubber residue that is easily wiped off.

That looks like a nice unit. Looks like it is generally in the $50 range, too. Looks like I need to pick up a better air compressor!

haha "better" air compressor is right, here's the one I used:

Needless to say, it hardly cut it. I actually started on one side of the truck one day, got impatient and stopped. I could only go for like, 10-20 second increments, then had to stop and wait for the compressor to keep up. Then one day I just did it, overall wasn't too bad. It was actually kinda fun.

I went from using my stepdad's 60gal craftsman for years to nothing. I am renting a shop with a friend and he has a fuckin pancake style. That thing can barely budge the hair on my balls.

We used to just put the rubber wheels on our pneumatic drills. I never even knew dedicated pinstripe removal tools existed before now. I always wondered why the wheels had threaded mounting pieces.
