This is a road to disaster for GM. They are done. Looking at sales volumes from the past few years will not guide the future. GMC is a redundant brand thats only viable in the commercial market. What they should have done is moved it all over to Chevrolet.

Pontiacs have been in my own house for 15 years on and off. My family Mom,Dad, Sisters, have had nothing BUT Pontiacs since 1979.

Chevrolet has its Vette and Silverado. Other than that, the line up is the blandest crap on the market. The whole reason Olds and Pontiac excelled in previous years, was the desire for a NON BLAND CHEVROLET.

I am a disgruntled GM purist. I will never buy an American made Toyota, Nissan, Honda. etc. I dont care where the parts are made or who lives in this country that assembles it.
Its still a NON AMERICAN owned company.
We all can bemoan the loss of Olds and Pontiac, but the fact is, Americans who ran GM got complacent, the Americans that bought these cars decided long ago that the foreign makes we of better quality.
Add the negative press in for good measure and we will be lucky to see 2 American car companies in existance 25 years from now
