Well I changed the rear diff oil and took the valve cover off to change the gasket. The fluid in the rear diff was nasty. There were some nice gouges on the inside of the diff cover, but I found no metal pieces in the oil or the bottom of the diff.
I could have finished the valvecover, but I need to go get a torque wrench

Speaking of Jeeps in Louisiana, I finally sold my Willys. The guy seems like he and his son will do her right; when I went to the notary (damned backwards-ass Louisiana is the only state I've lived in that requires a notary for title transfers) he already had her running again.
