Default I'm back, and with a "new" fleet of cars.

Hey everyone. Back when LivingWithStyle and Automodding went down, I figured the entire community had disbanded and gone their separate ways. About a year ago I found Casual Discourse, but completely forgot about it until I randomly started thinking of LWS today. I decided I'd check in and get back in touch with the community.

Back when I was posting, I was driving a pair of Volvo 240's:

My first car, an '89 240DL

    And my $350 '82 245DL

Both were great cars; a lot of fun to throw around, and dead reliable to boot. I was forced to clean house a few years back and had to sell the '82. I just sold the '89 recently after it sat for a few years, due to relinquishing its daily driver duty to this:

It's a '95 Volvo 855 Turbo. Besides being my DD for the last two years, I also autocross it. The only modifications so far are a K&N filter, upgraded compressor bypass valve(after the original failed), and 215/45/17 Firestone WideOval's on Enkei GF1 wheels(previously ran 205/50/16 BF Goodrich KDW2's on stock wheels). The car is in desperate needs of suspension upgrades, but as it sits it's still a lot of fun to throw around.

I picked up my latest toy over the summer. A W123-chassis Mercedes-Benz has always been on my list of cars I'd like to own at some point in my life, so when a1978 280CE came up for sale and I had cash in hand, I couldn't pass it up. The car is in incredible condition for its age and location. There's hardly any rust on it, and no rot at all. It's a 2.8L inline 6 with a 3-speed automatic. As far as modifications go, it's mostly show with Euro headlamps, color-matched 15" Compomotive CX500's, and cut springs all done by a previous owner. It needs some work and restoration, but as it sits it's a blast to drive.

That Mercedes reminds me of my old C126 chassis 560 SEC.

A friend of mine had a Benz like that. It was a v8 car though and liked to burn out. It was a high mileage car but still very cool to drive.

edit- Ever see the Volvette on Youtube? I think you should make that your goal!
