Question Red dot on a pistol

Im getting my FNP Tactical in a few days, and I want to get a Trijicon RMR for it. At first I wanted the dual illumination one. But I then decided I wanted a RED dot, not an amber one. So I started looking at the battery powered ones. First the RM07, which has an 8 MOA dot with adjustable brightness. Then I started looking at the RM02, which is an 8 MOA with no on/off switch and no brightness adjustments. It automatically adjusts for you, and I like that. Plus its cheaper than the RM07.

They say standard battery life on the RM02 is about 2 years, but you can get up to 5 years out of it if its stored in a dark place (because the dot will be so dim). And mine will be holstered by my night stand unless Im shooting it (or fondling it, lol).

Anyone ever handled one of the non-adjustable LED models? Id really like some feed back on how well they adjust automatically before I drop $500 for a red dot to go on a handgun.

Heres a link to all the different models they offer.

Went ahead and ordered the RM02. I talked to a few people on other forums that have them, and they love them.
