I went pick up my new FNP 45 Tactical today. I had been getting antsy because it was supposed to be delivered Saturday, but they sent it to the wrong post office. Finally came in this morning though. I snapped a few quick pics of it, but Ill get some better ones later. And Ill probably go make a holster or two for it later today.

Here are my initial impressions though. First thing is the grip. First thing I noticed is how freaking small the grip is for a 15+1 capacity .45. I mean its not SMALL, but its amazing that they managed to cram 15 rounds of .45 in that small of a space. The texturing is awesome. Very grippy without being too rough for ungloved hands (and hours of fondling). It comes with 4 different backstraps too. Two are flat, and two are curved. They are the same size, but one of each has the aggressive texturing and the other has some raised lines that give grip. I went with the flat one with the lines. The one with the checkering seemed like it would dig into my hand too much.

The trigger is awesome. In single action is almost like a 1911. Not quite, but almost. Very smooth and short. In DA it is long and kinda heavy, but consistent. Over all, I love the trigger.

The finish is awesome, and the night sights are sweet. The only thing I find is that Ill have to get used to the mag release. There is a raised portion of the grip above it, and I seem to put half my thumb on that and have to mess with it for a second. But Ill get used to it.

Here are a few pics. Ill get some better ones later.

Trying to decided if the TLR-2s has found a new home.
