Default Can't belive I have never owned a 9mm until now.

I figured I have a little bit of everything but being a mostly revolver guy I never considered the 9mm until recently. I just though it was a large hole in my tool box, so I found a good shooter grade Model 39 S&W to fill the gap. In 1955 S&W produced the first U.S. designed DA semi-automatic pistol for the US market. It's has an alloy frame, steel slide, DA/SA semi with single stack 8 round magazines. Now I need to learn how to load 9mm, so much for the no new caliber rule.

    Green is the new Red.

9MMs are my favorite. I have 4 of them. Ammo is so cheap and widely available I can afford to shoot like 200 rounds when I go shooting.

Not really sure. I just want a 9 that I can easily carry in the south. With the kel-tec I could carry it in my back pocket.

Look at the M&P Shield. They are very small. I carry mine all the time.

I'll check it out. My friend says I should be able to pocket carry with it.

The Shield looks nice if you can find one, I help a .40 and it felt good in the hand. I came real close to a snagging a Walther P38, I thought too long and lost out on it. They are nice duty sized single stack 9mms.

They are starting to get easier to find. Ice heard that its easier to get one from the bigger stores like Bass Pro and Cabelas since S&W fills orders on a volume basis, meaning the more you order, the closer to the front of the line you get.

I got mine on GunBroker, but I paid a little more for it. But I got it, and thats how I justify paying a little extra. lol

I have a P11, it's been a great little gun for me. The Model 39 is nice. I hate to admit it, but the magazine safety messed me up years ago. My brother wanted me to figure out why his wouldn't shoot without the mag in, and it took me a few minutes to figure out why...
