Yep.
And all it forms with the tannerite is fire. :). They will be in separate containers.

Gasoline is probably safest (and, out of all possibilities, most flashy). A propane tank may not catch fire, I've seen some videos in which the propane is released far too quickly to be ignited. Maybe if you set some road flares or fires around it, but that just seems like too much trouble to me. I'd stick with gas.
I just remembered I have a shitload left over from last year. Ill have to look into that.
Fireworks are self-contained, I dunno if they'll be ignited by the quick, concussive blast of detonated tannerite.
No reason not to try, of course, as long as you're careful.
They would blow up afterwards, I know this. But they would make the explosion last longer.
I got my aluminum powder in today. :D
Since you linked that article on wiki I assume you read it but just to be sure don't forget the part aboutWouldn't want ya getting arrested for transporting ya fun stuff, sounds like you should be ok if you wait till you get there tho.Quote:
Once mixed, the components are an explosive and it is illegal to transport these materials on public roads in a vehicle without proper insurance, packaging and placarding.
Also I gotta question the sensitivity of this stuff. I mean it says it has to be shot to detonate but what kinda impact is really required, seems like a good blasting cap would work also. Doubt thats very legal and its probably pretty hard to legally buy blasting caps but they should be easy enough to make.
Make sure you film it.
If you have the bucket of gas mix in styrofoam and benzine for extra fun. Now that you have the aluminum powder grab some iron oxide and mix.
Sounds like you have a good weekend on order.
What if you shoot a pistol out of a rifle?
Insufficient trauma.
Unless you're using an LOLHUEG handgun's round.
So I finally got the Ammonium Nitrate in the mail today.
Eat all of it.
Ill put it on my fries.
I bought two pounds of the stuff a while ago and have yet to use it, I watched some one set off 1lb. of it off duct taped to a 50lb. bag of nitro fertilizer, it was a considerably larger explosion than just the 1lb bottle. your ammonium nitrate should get you the same effect. Some one suggested to me filling up a bunch of film canisters with it, smaller explosions but you get more of them,
Handguns wont set it off, fire won't set it off, I watched some one hold a propane torch to a bottle of it and just ended up melting the plastic bottle it was in, some slower rifle rounds wont set it off, like .45-70, .30-30. All of your 'varmint' calibers should work, .223, .22-250, .243. I'm pretty sure a .30-06 will do it though it may have some trouble if its a slow heavy load.
What ever you do with it Im sure it will be fun.
Be careful man, that seems like some serious stuff there.
