    I'm pretty sure that the short barrel of the GLOCK 29 reduces the velocity of the 10mm bullet to .40S&W levels. I could be wrong, though.

    Not quite, though the shorter barrel does affect velocity some. Here are a couple of charts I pulled up just now; scroll down on the first to find G26 data.
