Those suits of armor might be decorated but they're not "decorative", nor are they "ceremonial"; they are perfectly functional and might well have been worn into battle. As for swords, I don't know about the particular pair of swords in the picture above, but historically, swords in general have often been decorated in various ways despite being perfectly functional weapons intended for warfare, rather than decorative ceremonial weapons. This is especially true if you look at weapons from South Asian and Middle Eastern cultures, but basically all cultures have done it to some extent. It's also true of all manner of weapons and gear besides swords. That said, I don't think this is really analogous to decoration on weapons in the first place. This is basically a joke or gimmick item.
I still don't get why people are unnerved by it. I don't see the connection between buying this jokey gun accessory, and being genuinely irresponsible with guns.
