    Default NRA wins again...

I dont have all the details, so bear with me. I just have the basics of what happened.

Basically someone was passing something ordering the spent brass from the military to be destroyed instead of reloaded and used again. Which, for civilians, would translate to higher prices, AND reduced availability. There is absolutely ZERO point to do this except to get a low blow on the gun community. Luckily the NRA stepped in and took care of it.

So if you shoot .223/5.56 thank the NRA.
And if you are a gun owner and arent in the NRA, you need to be. If not the NRA, then some type of similar group.

EDIT: Heres a link to the article I saw earlier. This is before the NRA stepped in I beleive.

I heard about the possible mandatory demil-ing of military brass. If the NRA managed to intervene, great! Also, don't forget the .308/7.62 NATO shooters that may be helped by this.

I know some brass is destroyed, from what I understand locals in South Korea police up ranges and the brass is used to create military challenge coins.

Well, according to the DOD's rules, this should've never happened in the first place.

They ordered that all 5.56, .308 and .50BMG brass be classified as Demil B.

Some asshat thought they'd try to just have big balls and say that the brass needed to be mutilated, when Demil B does not specify mutilation.

Either a mix up, or someone was being a dick.
