I tried convincing my buddy in the Marines to bring me back some sort of optic. Preferably an ACOG. But he refused. lol

I just got my rear Magpul MBUS in so now I have a full set. I am thinking about getting rid of the red dot and putting a 1-4x scope on it on a LaRue QD mount though.

I don't think stealing (or "losing") $1200 of Uncle Sam's money would go over to well.

Everything but my lower is in the mail today. I should be receiving my LPK, sling, sling plate, MIAD, PMags, charging handle all today, and possibly me lower. If my lower isn't in today it will definitely be here tomorrow.

??? You put the crosshairs over the target, then pull the trigger. Scopes like this are extremely quick to acquire with, often even more so than with iron sights.

That looks pretty overprices for a illuminated short range scope.

I don't know much about that particular model, but scope price generally reflects stuff like impact/shock resistance, optical quality, and so forth. Whether or not it's worth it in practical terms will probably depend on whether you're in motherfucking Delta Force or whatever, but in terms of sheer quality, I'd assume that scope is probably worth it's price. Generally speaking, Schmidt & Benders definitely are.

Looks more like regular Infantry. I've never seen SFOD-Delta guys dressed like regular ground pounders complete with combat patches. That, and those guys seem to be wearing regular Interceptors instead of the super high speed plate carriers most of SF seem to wear. Not to mention the old school breaching ladder; it's so 2001.

Yeah, it's a bit hard to make out, but it looks like the guy going over the wall has a 101st Airborne patch on his velcro.

Guy in front is the CAG (Combined Applications Group aka new name for delta) guy, he has a Paraclete RAV on not to mention an HK416, ANVIS nightvision mount and I'm pretty sure that's a PEQ15 (before they got common)

the other two are 101 guys IIRC

    edit: thx syme <3

Do you mean.... Combat Applications Group? Combat Applications Group is one of the names by which Delta Force is known, but it's not new, and to the best of my knowledge, they have not received a new designation recently; they are still officially the 1st SFOD-D. I'm pretty sure the term "Combined Assault Group" is not in use for any US military unit.

Sure he's CAG? He might be an Asymmetric Warfare Group adviser. I've never seen Delta guys intermingling with regular forces. The ones we worked with in Iraq were given a pinpoint task while the rest of us acted as a cordon and search element. Then again, the war and forces in Iraq are completely different now than when I was over there. Hopefully we'll be out of Iraq by the time I get done here, but Afghanistan is still looking promising for me. Hell, at this rate Iran or North Korea might be my next destination.

It's a definite possibility I suppose, the ANVIS, 416, and RAV would fit the bill for that

I cant even see any of that except the white on the magwell. And Ive seen tons of ARs that look like that from a distance. Im not saying its not a 416, but it might be something else.

Guys guys guys, theres more important business at hand here.

MY FUCKING LOWER CAME IN TODAY!

I've got everything in the LPK installed except the trigger guard and bolt release, because I couldn't find my vice grips so I need to go pick up a set. This thing is so nice. Mega definitely makes some of the best lowers around. The quality and finish is outstanding. Pics to come tomorrow.

I'd like to SBR it first, but that will probably be a while.

EDIT: If I can ever find one anywhere, I'd like to get a 13.7" Noveske with a pinned KX3. I'd be happy with that instead of an SBR.

My BOHICA lower will be a registered SBR. Once I get it in Ill start the process. I plan on getting the VLTOR EMOD stock, VLTOR fore end, VLTOR MUR upper, and a 10.5 in bbl with a Noveske flaming pig on the end, Im not sure for the optics, but Ill probably get something like an Aimpoint Micro.

Damn, you guys... This thing is beautiful... I'm crying.

No but seriously this lower is fucking mint. And the RRA LPK is awesome, spectacular quality. I'll get some pics up later.

What makes it though, is the fact that I assembled it. It reminds me of Lego sets I used to get when I was a kid... I was so proud of them after I built it.
