Pizza is an American food (in that it originated in America).
While the taco has been significantly Americanized in the last 100 years, it is still not technically an American food.

mr e i will agree with your first point only because what we call pizza in north america would be completely unrecognizable anywhere else in the world as food
homeless people use Pizza Pizza pizza as walls
I do not know why Mr E thinks pizza originated in 'murica
No, dumbbutt, the pizza was a 19th century Neapolitan invention.
The American "taco," on the other hand, is basically completely an American invention. It's based on the Mexican dish with the same name, but it's so different that it's really a completely different thing.Quote:

If you've ever had a real taco, you'd know how different they are.
amazed that people think pizza is an american invention
If you guys want god tier food... put taco seasoning on your burgers while you cook them. I use the standard ortega seasoning. No ketchup bullshit. You're not seven. Just hot sauce(Franks red hot and combine others if you got it), mustard, A1 sauce, oh and use provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and mushrooms. Best burgers ever.
Real burgers with Diana sauce (the yellow label) are the best
diane sauce is a steak sauce
Some steak sauce could also be a burger sauce like A1. But I never tried Diana's sauce since I use A1.
yeah i suppose it could be but i will always choose steak over burgers so i wouldn't know.
i used it on chicken fingers last night (twist)
wait aren't we talking about clitoral erections itt

I'm not sure how authentic the tacos I have eaten were.
I've eaten tacos in mexico I know they are different
Also, I don't know the history of pizza, I just have a vague memory of hearing on some documentary in the past that early 20th century Italian-Americans needed a cheap food that was easy to eat so they ate pizza. I suppose I shouldn't make statements based on fuzzy memories and assumptions, but this is 'murrica and I do what I want.
from wikipedia "Modern pizza originated in Italy as the Neapolitan pie with tomato. In 1889, cheese was added."
I believe it.
