That match was written AMAZINGLY.
I am in awe.
To be totally honest about it that was one of the better Raws that I've seen in a long time. Well other than the whole Jericho getting fired thing. I mean that might leave me y2jless for a short while. :(
I think Vince will come back and re-hire him next Monday.
Anyone think Umaga will come back and help out Snuka and Manu and lead into a stable fight.
Yea, that's what I'm thinking. Isn't Umaga related to that whole flock of Samoans some how?
Well probably. In earnest there aren't that many Samoans on earth period, and there are only two types of Samoans. All of one are related if you go back far enough, and same for the other.
But for real I think that all wrestling Samoans (that have ever been in the WWE or WCW) share the same great-grandfather or great-great grandfather (I forget which one).
Well his uncle his Afa which makes him 2nd gen, right? I don't really know.
Look at his wiki, he could fit in somehow.

If only they still had Armando Estradda. That guy was awesome.
Jack Swagger just won the ECW championship:confused::eek:
Linda McMahon has also been appointed to the Connecticut BoE...

I agree that Matt Hardy has never really been more over than "upper midcarder" at MOST. I would rather hold the Intercontinental championship rather than the ECW championship if I had the choice.
The difference is that the Intercontinental title is held by a decent wrestler.
I don't watch ECW, but I know Jack Swagger hasn't been around that long. He has to be at least pretty good if they'd put the ECW title on someone that green. If he has been wrestling Tommy Dreamer and Matt Hardy we probably have no idea what he is actually capable of.
The ECW title doesn't mean shit, but Jack Swagger is awesome. He's a great wrestler. He's a lot like Kurt Angle, but bigger. Because of his height, he doesn't do many of the fancy technical wrestling, but he can still brawl with the rest of them. I suggest you guys watch his match with Finlay from last week and his match yesterday with Hardy. Both were really great.
Swagger is the best thing on all three brands IMO. Its too soon to have a title run, but he's still awesome.
Yea, I know. All I can say is that I hope Jack doesn't go down the same road as Lashley and Lesnar.
If this was the mma thread I would be defending Lesnar right now, and possibly hugging his nuts a lot. The truth is that as a wrestler he just wasn't all that great though.
Well, in all fairness, Brock was pretty awesome and would have been legendary if he would have stuck with it.
I liked Brock. I didn't at the time, but looking back on it, he was a monster in the 'E'.
He was a phenomenal wrestler for his size and bulk.
Remember that time he did the shooting star press? Granted, he fucked up, but to attempt it was amazing. I've seen him do it flawlessly before.
I agree, had he stuck with it he would have been phenomenal. That shooting star press was amazing though, even though he didn't hit it. A guy that size even coming close is impressive in itself.
How about that Goldberg? :shifty:
Vladamir Kozlov is the next Goldberg.
Koslov can actually wrestle. I like him, too.
Kozlov is ok, but his ring psychology needs a whole lot of work.
He's done it several times successfully, I think this is an old OVW clip

Brock is pretty much an amazing dude.
Reports are in that say his entrance in the Hall of Fame will be the official end of Stone Cold Steve Austin's wrestling career.
I'm not gonna lie, that thought makes me pretty sad. It also makes me feel old.
I was always hoping he'd come back for one more show, one more match for one more night.

and a completely unrelated funny video about Billy Gunn:

Man, I miss E&C so much. They were fan-fucking-tastic. That duo, looking at both their mic work and ring work, was probably the best two man pair in the history of the business.
Yeah, I went there.
Imagine how much it would help the career of a Kennedy or MVP if they put up and epic match and lost to Stone Cold. He's one of those people that is so good at selling himself that even being in the ring with him makes you a bigger name.
Also, I'm hoping that they let J.R. be Austin's hof inductor.
Second pick would be Vince, as long as they let him take a stunner at the ceremony. :)
I'm calling it. Stone Cold drives a beer truck to the ceremony.
I love JR when he get's all exited and riled up, and no one gets him more riled up than Stone Cold.
JR: "STONE COLD!!! STONE COLD!! STONE COLD!! HE'S STUNNING ANYTHING THAT BYGAWD MOVES!!1!!!@!$24e"
Who's ready for Vince's return? It better be a good RAW
This guy is ready for Vince's return.
Some news sites are saying Ric Flair is who Austin wants to induct him. Its a strange choice imo.
I love how CM Punk is celebrating winning the IC title like he won the WWE title at Wrestlemania from the Undertaker.
That was an amazing show.
I was a bit weary when Steph and Jericho started the whole "I'm sorry." "I can't hear you." bit...but they pulled it off nicely.
And I guess Vince plans on only showing up twice a year now...and that last part would have been more convincing if Steph was actually crying.
And is it just me or do Steph's boobs get bigger every week?
Oh, and Steph's only 32. Is that amazing to anyone else?
Well more or less, McMahon coming back just fixed a lot of what was going wrong with Raw. By that I mean that y2j is back after only a week. The whole Orton kicking him in the head bit was nice as well.
Steph's only 32.
Well she doesn't look any older or younger than that, so her being 32 really isn't that big of a deal.
I like CM Punk, and I'm glad that he got the title.
No no no... Regal is far better suited to be champion. Although it almost looked like they were shoot fighting at some points in that match, I mean they were REALLY giving it to each other.
Also, that punt to Vince's head was god damn vicious. They showed the slow-mo and he really kicked him in the face pretty good.
I agree with you, Regal carries the belt much better than Punk. I like both of them in different ways though, so to me that was a no matter who wins I'll be happy dealys.(Although it was obvious from the two weeks of inconclusive matches and that match being in Chicago who would win.)
As for the kick to the head, I think that he made a bit more contact than he planned on. After he kicked him Orton had a legitimate "oops" face going on for a second(or was doing some Oscar worthy acting).
I read that Regal vs Punk for the IC championship at the Royal Rumble is supposed to happen... I hope so.

Well I don't know if I've mentioned it but I'm pretty much a Jericho nuthugger.
So I'm a Cena nuthugger?
I guess so, if that's what you would like to be.
Also, last night, I don't recall people ever cheering for Vince so hard in recent memory.
Well nobody has cheered for Vince at all in about six months for obvious reasons.
They about blew the roof off when he did his classic "Who the hell do you think you are?" though.
No, I mean ever since the Montreal Screwjob.
I hope either John Morrison or Shelton Benjamin wins the Rumble. I do not want it to be Jericho. I want somebody new to get a chance at mania, something like Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 12. I grow weary of the 'been there, done that'.
Goldust ftw
I thoroughly enjoy Goldust being back. There's something about a guy dressed entirely in gold and black that touches himself in strange ways and tries to kiss people.
It is kind of weird that they have acknowledged Golddust being Cody Rhodes's brother. It makes me think that they are setting something up. Maybe Golddust, Manu, and Sim Snuka are going to start a rival second generation group.
Oh yeah! Golddust is second generation too. Sim and Manu found their man with mic talent!
Do any of you guys have this by any chance?

That was a good match between Benjamin and Taker, for a second there I thought they were going to have taker put shelton over.
I wish I could see Smackdown.
It's on local TV...???
Oh.... I have all local channels included in mine.
Actually, I'm watching it on youtube.
Hey! It's the new Jeff Hardy!
Spoiler
One too many "i"s there chief.
I'm disappointed, I really wanted to see Kozlov vs HHH 1 on 1 with no bullshit. But I guss that will be a PPV sometime.
Same here, it was going well until Vicky came out and announced that. I mean other than Kozlov looking very sloppy compared to HHH.
