Since we lost the first pro wrestling thread with the death of the other cd, and I was flipping through channels and came across TNA Impact.
Opening discussion topic:When did Booker T start speaking with a horribly off African accent?

Well, he figured out that normal Booker T won't go over any more, so he went back to terrible accent Booker T.
I also didn't know that Jeff Jarrett actually started TNA....I guess you do learn something new every day.

Well, he and his father Jerry. Of course, Jerry Jarrett eventually abandoned TNA and took their best unknown prospect at the time over to Vince McMahon to have. That man is Vladamir Kozlov.
Until last night I almost forgot that Double J existed. It's also good to see that it looks like Mick Foley is going to stick around for another short while.

Meh....I think this WWE/WCW vs. TNA angle that they're pulling is a big mistake. They are blatantly using the fame of their primary competition as a way to try and gain ratings, but ratings have been declining since the angle began. I mean, they are openly referring to people in the WWE. TNA is starting to smell like WCW, except a less successful WCW.
Well it's only a matter of time before TNA is done away with and any talent they have is going to migrate to WWE.
It's a shame because I liked TNA until their storylines started to reek of desperation. They took something good and ruined it trying to get a ratings bump.

TNA does have more attractive women than WWE though. Just my opinion.

eh, it's pretty close. Mickie James is like ultimate hotness in my opinion. TNA definitely has more talented ladies than the WWE though.
How's that Chris Beniot guy doing these days?
His existence is still being denied by the WWE.
I've got $20 that says Hart takes it.

Well would you care to take that bet then? Of course I won't be able to pay you until the afterlife if I'm wrong, because we'll have to wait until then to see the results unless you know someone who can communicate with the dead....
I mean where is John Edwards or whatever his name is when you need him?

Good question.
In other news, why is the WWE pretending that Edge is dead? He just freaking vanished off of the face of the earth.
I couldn't tell you, I didn't watch it for about a month or so to be honest about it.
I can't see why they would do that unless he's taking an Undertaker style vacation to spend time with his family or something.

Must be. I didn't know he was important enough to take an Undertaker style vacation.
Well, honestly, he isn't. It wouldn't hurt my feelings too much if he stayed gone. Edge always annoyed me for some reason, and I don't even think it's because he's Canadian.

Well Biff, in 5-8 years I'll be the one you'll be watching, so just be patient.
And what, prey tell, is going to be your wrasslin' persona?
You should totally go with the black klan member gimmick.

Oh wait Im sorry, I thought I was in the sports forum.
I've played football, soccer, done MMA, and done pro wrestling
Pro wrestling is the 2nd most difficult of those four behind MMA
So suck it nony
In the Southern states in general there are a ton of orgs. I can find one less than 45 miles away in any direction(Other than West.). They have events pretty much everywhere though.

I like TNA for the most part and a lot of it has to do with the old guys being under one roof that isn't run by Vince McMahon. Vince is in the business of Killing his wrestlers or driving them to do it themselves.. Owen Hart gone.. Eddie Guerro gone.. Chris Benoit gone.. British Bulldog gone.. Kerry Von Erich gone.. Chris Adams you guessed it GONE!!! I like to see a company where the wrestlers are comrads in the business as well- Booker T's accent does suck tho..
Lol wrestling is for faggots. You guys keep telling yourselves that it isn't gay (and fake for that matter).
Well, that depends on your definition of "fake". It's scripted, sure, but even if it's performed correctly, catching a powerbomb fucking hurts.

Is it scripted? Yes. Are the moves real? No. Does it hurt? Yes. It's a mix between sport and soap opera, but it takes someone very capable and well trained to do it. Calling wrestling fake is like calling stunt men fakes.
Kelly Kelly and Candice Michelle sure do make for an attractive opening match. I hardly even noticed how poorly they executed their moves and such.

There is no excuse for Candice Michelle
