Ok well you're wrong. But I don't even need a rulebook to know that intuitively if it were against the rules, there would have been fines for it.

Logically it makes no sense to prevent players that aren't under contract from speaking to other players about their teams. You probably don't because you're a mouth-breathing breeder, but it's common practice in every industry to research a potential employer.

Let's see if I can address all of your idiocy in one post (I doubt it, but I'm ever the optimist.)

    Regarding Stoudamire:

It seems that I am able to grasp the concept of contractual agreements. Highlighting the word "player" doesn't change that.

Regarding the "summit" of Bosh, Wade, and James:
The three of them were out of their contracts. It was illegal for teams to negotiate with players until a few days later (Thursday, I think.) Players had already declared themselves free agents, thus preventing themselves from being contacted by their own teams. If they were still under contracts, the Raptors/Cavs/Heat could have called them each, respectively.

And, once again, how do I know that all of these actions you're bitching about were legal? I don't need to check a rulebook, because there are various others who do that for us, most notably the various teams that would have an interest in benefiting from the misconduct on the part of a player or manager for a competing team. If Melo had been tampered with, the Nuggets would have filed a grievance.

I don't know why you think you are going to be able to play armchair rules lawyer better than a multi-hundred million dollar league and a billion dollar media industry. Okay, that's a lie... I know why, but it doesn't make you any less dense.
