you show a lot of potential. I think it was said in the other thread to have the appearance of effortlessness - when your nervousness comes through as strongly as it did in a couple points, it's painful to watch. Your material was a little iffy in spots, although i really liked the banana bit (you shuold have joked around with the audience more about having bananas in your pants, and when the guy grabbed for one), and the no homo at the end was actually pretty funny as well. Your delivery is alright, you have a good look, you just need some solid material and to do this more often so that you're comfortable doing a routine.

It wasn't that funny, but I'll hand it to you for getting up there and keeping mostly cool.

IMO you could've gotten some laughs if you paused after saying you brought 4 bananas... let's them finish the punchline in their heads. It's all in the timing.

Oh and by the way when you thank them for laughing and being a great audience and they cheer that is usually the time most people would leave the stage You should've walked off that stage at 3:00.

I felt like you kind of danced around the point of some jokes and it was kind of like disorganized. The jokes were good but I got kind of confused when you went from youtube jokes to jokes about swine flu then back to internet jokes. But I thought it was pretty good for your first time.

My god they were a very nice crowd. If you'd have done that set at my local places you'd have been booed off within a minute.
I really liked some of your stuff though and your delivery was actually pretty good.
You need to be a bit more animated on stage, you kept your hand in your pocket or on your jeans for most of it (usually a sign of nerves - last time I performed I had my hand tucked under my other arm for the whole thing and didn't realise until someone pointed it out afterwards).
Also, your material needs more punchlines. Some of it is a bit rambling and there's too much time without laughs.
There's definitely promise there though and with more stage time and some refinement of your material you'll be pretty damn good.

I can't even finish that in my head.

The guy before me made jokes about de-homofying homo statements when saying no homo and was telling jokes about being anonymous on the internet and being a tall muscular black guy with a big dick.

The host said that hecklers and booing was not accepted at open mic nights, so I definitely got it easy.

I really need to start writing jokes and practicing them.

I would kill for an open mic night with that attitude. The audiences in the places near me are very demanding.

Although there's a new comedy club opening up in a city about an hour away from me. I'm already booked in to do their first open mic night (along with the other 3 comedy upstarts who I seem to have formed practically formed a brotherhood with). There isn't a separate comedy scene in that city so the audiences will hopefully be a bit nicer.
