Rampant child abuse in Ireland, but its ok

A 9 year inquiry into alleged child abuse at Catholic institutions in Ireland finally gave its findings yesterday. It found that there was rampant sexual, physical and emotional abuse, dished out at the hands of members of the Catholic church, spreading back almost 70 years. This in itself isn't WTF, but this is -

No one will be prosecuted. This is a fucking disgrace. One of the catholic organisations, the Christian Brothers managed to sue the makers of the report, forcing them to omit the names of those suspected.

As one of the victims said "I would have never opened my wounds if I'd known this was going to be the end result. It has devastated me and will devastate most victims because there are no criminal proceedings and no accountability whatsoever." This is a travesty.

Yeah I read about this yesterday. It's pretty disturbing the lengths they went to to cover this up.

If The Punisher were real, I'd send him there to clean up that godforsaken mess.

Bullets won't fix the brokenness caused by the church or the fucked up way it went down legally, but it'd send a clear message.

Well, I am bashing child abusers who happen to represent a particular religion. Just because they are religious doesn't mean they should therefore be above all criticism.

What you seem to be implying is that it is ok for members of a religious group to beat up, torture and rape children, but only if they are members of a religion, because it is far worse to be critical of anyone who is part of a religion than to bring child abusers to justice.
