Also, I'm not condoning his actions, but 30 years seems like a pretty damn long sentence for what he did. Come on... a 17 year old having sex with a 15 year old equating to "2nd degree rape, sodomy, [and] enticing a child for immoral purposes"? Does stupidity add a multiplicative factor to a sentence in Alabama?

Finally, I didn't know that sodomy was actually still an offense in any American jurisdiction. It's probably not normally enforced except for extraordinary circumstances like this...
