Thread: Better than democracy

A fairly simple question, although there may be some complex answers:

Describe a system of government that you believe would be superior to the current democratic representative political system in place in your country, OR else what significant changes you would make to the democracy in your country that would make it a better system.

You should describe this either from the perspective of what the constitutional principles the government is based upon, or the particularly structure and powers of the executive, legislative and judiciary branches (assuming these things exist), or even the technical processes of either creating (election etc) a government or it's day to day operation, or some combination of these perspectives.

It'd be also great if we could hear some ideas that involve applying newly available 21st century information technology to the issue of government.
