Seems I'm the only one who uses Cowon jetAudio. I find it does everything I need it to do. And for a portable media player I just use my cheap phone and some card reader that's small enough to keep on my keyring. I used to use a Cowon iAudio M3L but I decided I don't like having my pockets full.

It's just extremely odd for a person to legitimately purchase that much music digitally. I'll purchase music on iTunes from time to time, but christ, never $800 worth. If I had that kind of money to spend, I'd buy the music on vinyl; then again, I am a rather materialistic person and need a physical representation to justify what I buy.
