That's awesome. I'm actually a music student and my main instrument is trombone. I'm also a big fan of Tchaikovsky and Rimsky-Korsakov. I feel like the Russian style of composition suits the trombone very well, keeping in mind that they are beautiful compositions, but can have a harsh sound to them at times.

I've never heard any Sibelius. Is he modern? I've heard of notation software called Sibelius but I've never heard any music written by a composer of that name.

And KT, why do you dislike classical music because you played viola and piano. I just started playing piano and it's made classical music grow on me even more.

I got tired of playing classical music. I mean there are pieces that I really like, but as a whole I don't listen to classical music. The only piece I can think of off hand that I really like is Pachelbel's Canon but that's mainly because it reminds me mostly of Evangelion and also that one time in sectionals when I got stuck playing the incredibly boring 3rd violin.
