Alright, here's the situation:

I'm a film maker, and I'm making a film that's based in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, a place I've never visited before. The reason why I chose to shoot a film about that place there in Cleveland, Ohio, is more of an inside joke and for budgetary reasons.

What I want to do, and I'm asking for you, the Internet, for some help, is that I want to be able to reach out to the people of this city and let them know that I'm making a movie about their town. Already, I've emailed the mayor and posted the trailer on a Facebook group, both of which garnered no replies. But I'm determined.

What would be a good way of letting people know? I was thinking of contacting their media, newspaper and news station. But I also want to create some sort of viral marketing technique, or something interesting to say the least, to grab people's attention over there that a film about their town has been made. I was contemplating mailing flyers to city hall and elsewhere, but that would cost too much time and money.

Anyone got anything better to help me out?

Here's the , by the way. Hope you enjoy it and get some sort of feel of what I'm going for.
