I normally find scrumpy unpalatable. But there's one brand, Old Mout, that makes a scrumpy that isn't overpoweringly dry. Old Mout mix their ciders with all sorts of fruit wines. Last I tried was cranberry cider from them. It comes in a 1.5lt PET bottle - all class - for NZ$8-10 (~USD7.31/GBP4.54).

This brings up the question of how that price compares elsewhere, but I think I'll start a thread in The Mess Hall for that.
I'm not really a cider person in general, but honest to god, old rosie tastes like straight up apple juice. It's dangerous stuff, very easy to go overboard on.

As for scrumpy vs normal...scrumpy all the way. I wouldn't ever drink normal cider tbh. Kopperburg is ok. Cider just reminds me of cheap drink at the local park, sat on a bench.
As fun as that was, I don't want to drink shit like that ever again.
