Just thought this is cool and wanted to share. Meteor showers and eclipses are curious sights to be seen. I remember in my youth staring up at Haley's comet. Things like that are fascinating.

I remember earlier this year as I was driving to work in the morning the moon was abnormally large. Turns out it was, candidly enough, a "supermoon" or a perigee moon which is when the moon is closest to the Earth.

Also in my youth, I remember my teacher in elementary school pausing class so we could observe the solar eclipse. The last total lunar eclipse happened in the early hours of December 10th and won't arrive again until April 15, 2014, but you can catch a partial eclipse June 4th.

This thread is a big shout out to astronomy nerds.
