They also fit in perfectly with the hideous wall color

that color must be Sherwin Williams' "Stegosaurus Shit Green" lets go to our color expert Anony D for confirmation
superman is more interesting than people give him credit; it's because he's so powerful that his stories can be compelling. after all, a storyteller has to be inventive to think up ways to bring a god to his knees.
sure, MOSTLY the stories are crap and hinge on some weak kryptonite plot. but with comics, and other universes with flexible canon or continuity, i think it's important not to judge an idea or character by its execution. there's hundreds of shit batman stories, but batman as an idea is incredibly compelling. superman's the same. and, unlike welladjusted, i think it actually makes him more interesting that he's an alien -- he's not saving the world out of convenience, he's saving the world because he's that dedicated to doing right. characters with moral ambiguities and compromises are interesting and compelling characters, but sometimes a character so uncompromising that they'll literally go to any lengths to do what's ultimately right is just as interesting.
Grant Morrison and Frank Miller are the reason I love DC. The Long Halloween, The Killing Joke, Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth are great. I don't really pay much attention to Superman unless its a big event. Otherwise, he's winning.
He could relocate.
Atmoscheer I live in a student house, I'm not allowed to change the colour of the walls.
That being said, my landlord probably doesn't even know what colour the rooms are.
Because previous comics discussions on this forum (and it's abusive step father LWS) have been disasters
Because everyone who posts here is fucking retarded.

Your pride in your ignorance is so quaint.
I'm not proud. I'm honest.
I like serialized fiction also. They are just interesting stories. I don't get off on the fact that superheroes have super powers, I enjoy comics because of the problems that they face in spite of their superpowers. Its escapist fantasy, sure, but at their core comics are stories about misplaced and/or broken and flawed people who have been thrust into roles through either internal guilt, external force, or an overinflated sense of responsibility and now they must fulfill those roles and fight their flaws and pasts in spite of scores of fantastical obstacles.
i don't actually read comics but i really dig the stories
right now i'm reading the house of m arc from marvel, but only because i've been pretty curious about it for a few years. the only other comics i've read are buffy season 8 and joss whedon's x-men run (which was amazing)
My favorite comics involve people turning into werewolves and saving their friends
