Although he was pompous, he really loves film. No one can deny that. He's a critic, so that's what he does, and not everyone is going to agree with him. I'll agree he took some arguments too the extreme, but he knew film.
I'll be honest I never read any of his reviews, i'm not big on reading extremely long posts on a computer screen. His reviews were probably good if he wrote that many of them and didn't get banned.
He was an extremely annoying poster, though.
