What? What word do you prefer for the first time you do it? What's the magic number you have to hit before we can call it "breeding"? And is that number of litters, or total number of puppies? Do still-births count toward the total?

"Higher quality", huh? How can you tell? Do they have better acoustics? Is the paint less likely to fade than it is on the lesser breeds? Or did you get an extended warranty from the universe, promising that your animals will live longer, healthier lives?

Mostly, I just find it sad. Sad for the animals that already exist who need homes, and sad for the people who think they need designer animals.
