Thread: My Pride & Joy

Outside of my work, and family. My main hobby right now is my dogs. I've currently got three full breed American Pit Bulls. The oldest is Julie. She's about thirty months old, has had three puppies, and is currently spayed. She has a very mellow personality, and plays really well with her two boys. She had one female in the litter that was a buckskin color like her, if not a few shades darker. However, I sold her about a month and a half ago. The other two puppies are blue males, named Dudley and Dallas. They are about 16 months old, and are my primary focus right now; I'm trying to housebreak them, and it's proving to be more difficult than it was with there mother.

As of now, I'm not 100% sure I'll be keeping Dallas. He's going to be a huge fucking dog in a few months. He took after the Sire (which unfortunately I don't have pictures) who, believe it or not, was a good 30-35 lbs heavier than Julie. If anyone in the S. Florida area is interested in buying him; He's fully registered, and costs $350 - Otherwise he has a good home here


So, does anyone here have a dog, or other pet, that they are especially proud of?

If you take offense to the term "breeder" for someone who is breeding and selling dogs, then by all means, educate us mere simpletons about proper nomenclature. Otherwise, quite whining about semantics. Or, at least quit contradicting yourself.

Anyone who cares about these dogs should try to save a homeless pit bull before adding more dogs to a completely saturated market.

This is a plea to those of you thinking about breeding pit bulls - please take a look at our database of homeless dogs and think again...

Yeah, that's probably it. But do me a favor - volunteer at a pound for a day or two per week for 6 months. Hold a few unwanted dogs in your arms while some underpaid county vet tech kills each one because some asshole dumped it at the shelter once the novelty wore off, or because some other breed is more fashionable now. Or help nurse an emaciated dog from a puppy mill back to health, only to see it put down because it's not perfect enough to get adopted by any of the people who want designer animals with "papers". Ya, but you don't understand. You take two of those, male and female preferably, and I take me a female.

You keep your pure bread dogs(honestly, i think they are some gorgeous puppies), and then you get to have a Human/Pit Bull Hybrid, kinda like a werewolf. I dunno how much those animals cost with papers etc, but I'm pretty sure the Vengeful Scars/Pit bull Monster would fetch a pretty penny.
