Who gets a master's in a year? At least a master's worth anything that is. Not trying to flame just saying - unless you're already taking graduate level classes, how on earth do you propose to have your grad courses, your research, your thesis AND your defense/dissertation prepared in a year?

Not even the same comparison. Nadia's life falls apart if her boyfriend and her break up. She is not relying on herself to make it. That's not the kind of thing a job interview is about. They want to know if you have ambition and enough of your shit together to get to where you wanna be.
