Fair enough I suppose.
Fair enough I suppose.

I bet you listen to My Chemical Romance
Its too easy to be a cynic.
My current plan has changed. I've discovered the resonant frequency for space time that can aid in displacing any object or being through a parabolic shift in time. I'll see you all 3 years ago. I have something I need to see.

um i didn't say that unless you used your super intelligent genius to extrapolate into the future what i'm going to say.
also i don't listen to my chemical romance, and whenever i hear them i have a desire to put a drill to my cerebral cortex. i listen to the original musical masters of melancholy: rameau, bach, and brahms.
read: I'm better than you because i don't listen to contemporary music
read: stop trying to suck my dick sycld i told you i'm not a homo
???
look, i don't know what signals i'm sending off, or if you're trying to manipulate me into sucking your coq, but let's just stay frie... i mean two people that post on the same faggoty forum, ok?
now togs' dique, or snead's dick, or that knyte-whatever's dick... now them's good eatin'
My plan has ALSO changed!
I started writing a book last January, and am currently working on what I hope is the third and final draft. Once I finish this, it goes into the hands of M. S, a lady friend who plays bit parts on television shows in California. Using this connection, I should tentatively find representation for the work. If not, then I do it the hard way and query agencies until I get accepted, then they try to sell my manuscript for me.
Nope. I want to get paid, son. Not a lot, but I still want money.
What's the synopsis of the book?

just wondering, since you know more than i about this... but wouldn't you potentially have more success getting some short stories published in periodicals like zoetrope rather than getting an entire book published right away?
I read your soul, and that is what it said to me
Also, everyone knows Bach is the My Chemical Romance of the late Baroque period, and since Brahms is the Bach of the Romantic period, well...
I mean, getting short stories published doesn't really affect the overall percentage chance that I'll get my novel published.
I've also had some short stories run online and I've had a few plays produced.
Anyways, the book - in a nut shell - is about a 17 year old who was living with his abusive dad, who gets a new job, so the kid ends up moving to live with his mom in his hometown. While there, he gets embroiled in a secret society whose secrets go back centuries while he tries to make sense of the constant tragedy that seems to surround him. It's a pretty cut and dry YA/Teen novel, but I wanted to give it a little more substance than most contemporary YA dickchomps.
Undergound Voices, Antithesis Common, and one other place, the name of which is escaping me at the moment. They're not any great places of note, and I've been rejected from a few noteworthy places (Asimov's, and Orson Scott Card's The Intergalactic Medicine Show spring immediately to mind), but I don't really submit a fuckload of short stories anymore. I've been trying to get published in a hipster online rag, but their editor drives me up the fucking wall 90% of the time, missing the point of the stories that I send.
EDIT: I also write game reviews/editorials for a website that is supposed to launch in the near future.

(sorry; i cannot resist mocking you by taking your words out of context, and um it's for your own good since you need to... develop a thick skin. yeah, that's it.)
I want to get out of the Navy and say "Man, I'm going to college." But the reality of most people who get out of the Navy is "Man, I'm going to work and go to college part time and probably get my bachelor's when I'm 30."
Fuck.

I was kind of mocking myself a little bit there, chief. I've been rejected far more times than accepted (I have a 1:4 ratio, I think, which isn't too awful, but still). The irony was apparent in my statement.
lol you are a funny guy sycld
i mean that was a joke rite?
no you didn't lol
