I agree with Think right now that mutton is the leading candidate for the reasons he stated. I'll go ahead and lynch mutton now, with the caveat that I want to put pressure on him--I think we can gain information this round if we don't just quick lynch with the first four votes.

I just can't wrap my head around a reason why mutton or anyone else would intentionally kill (presumably) the second of three mafia in the night phase. He didn't even gain the benefit of building rapport with the town.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but based on the flavor text, it looks like some night action(s) were prevented. I suspect this means there are two mafia families (and not for a metagame reason like "Vinyl Tap" mafia goon) and the nurse blocked the Vinyl Tap kill, but the other mafia family killed a Vinyl Tap (simonj.)

Unfortunately, that theory doesn't really explain mutton's actions, so he looks more town than he does part of the other mafia family (for the purely metagame reason of, with 9 people, I can't imagine we would have two families of 3 and 3 or 3 and 2--probably 2 and 2, with one family dead.)

he voted against zuelan and atmosfear who both went straight for lynching a mafioso, his third "suspect" was me, again, I was voting for mr shrike.
In voting for zuelan, he sided with simonj, the second mafioso, and when mr shrike died and threw suspicion on simonj (in a very transparent attempt to discredit suspecting simonj when his role was revealed), mutton made sure that the post was highlighted. ("quoted for posterity"? really?!)

Think on this: If almost everyone votes for MrShrike and I suspect other people, those people are going to coincide.

MrShrike's post after he died was obviously significant in some way. Quoting for posterity is how we do, and I saved the post in case coq deleted it.

I actually had reasons for my suspicions unlike the others, so this is the type of situation where if I was right I'd look like a genius, or fishy if I'm completely wrong (that may still not be true).

But yeah the logical move is to lynch me or infernus and if the game doesn't end by then, consider Atmosfear's theory.
