There was recently an article I read on CNN Money talking about how many hedge fund managers were recognizing a severe undervaluation in book publishing and investment in book publishers. The reason is because the popularity of the iPad and tablets (which claim to function as eReaders) is killing sales of other true eReaders like the Amazon Kindle or Barnes and Noble Nook. Once people buy the tablets, they recognize the multimedia capabilities and tend not to buy ebooks since tablets are generally not good readers.
Basically, books are popular again and this is a good opportunity to cash in on the trend.
