Niccol's zippy direction, joined to a sleek, rich production design, keeps the movie spinning like a shiny toy.

The movie may not probe as deeply into its subject as desired, but it's nevertheless an enjoyable watch, full of propulsive action and intriguing scenarios.

Creative Loafing
Despite strong performances from a likeable cast, this squanders its potentially interesting premise and is ultimately something of a disappointment thanks to a dumbed-down script, a lack of imagination and a tendency towards heavy-handed symbolism.

In Time, previously titled Now and I'm.mortal,[3] is a 2011 science fiction, thriller film starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Olivia Wilde, Alex Pettyfer, Johnny Galecki, and Vincent Kartheiser. The film, written and directed by Andrew Niccol, was released on October 28, 2011.
My review:
Well I thought this was a really cool idea but it just didn't live up to what I hope it would become as the movie churned on. I mocked the beginning from what I felt was an an extraordinary amount of references to time, time innuendo, time jokes, and just waste of time small talk. Still, it really helped set some level of immersion to get lost in the movie, but I felt it was shattered after going from some neat scifi concept to chilling reminder and message of the rich fucking the poor then hopskotching to bonnie and clyde theatrics with a poor man's choice and anti-climatic death of the story's anti-antagonist. I really like Timberlake and Seyfried, but they couldn't save this movie or make it into something bigger. There were some moments sprinkled here and there that I really like but in the end I finished this movie feeling disappointed.
Note: Olivia Wilde is hot.
Note 2: This movie has The Scarecrow, that kid from I Am Number Four, Rusty Griswold, and that guy from Mad Men. Awesome cast.
