I watched the first episode under the impression that it was somehow sci-fi. Spoiler! there aren't any aliens.

I still enjoyed it and I downloaded the other two episodes.

Did you watch the other episodes? The third one was definitely sci-fi although not spacey-aliens-ray-guns sci-fi.

I also thought it was the best of the three.

I have them downloaded but haven't managed to watch them yet. Maybe sometime soon I will.
