(From a Maxim interview with Joss Whedon)
M: Finally, we need to set the record straight: Are you, in fact, also J.J. Abrams?
JW: Yes. Thank you for finally bringing that to light. I am. And let me tell you something: I’m fuckin’ tired. I’m tired all the time. I’m doing everything. Yeah. Watch Fringe.
How dare he take credit for JJ's accomplishments. It makes me sick to think of the level he has stooped to.
...
Joss, man, what happened?
Now that was fun.
My head is in severe pain after watching last nights episode. They keep plunging me further and further into the abyss of confusion, offer strands of answers, only to be hit in the face so I fall further into confusion.
Questions:
Who is that man at the airport who talks to Jack? I've seen him before but can't place him.
Where is Aaron and where is Sun's child? Shouldn't at least Aaron be on the plane?
If they're recreating the events, then it would make sense that Kate be pregnant, perhaps with Jacks' child, from their sexing that night. Sun got pregnant on island. Aaron wouldn't have to be there, if Kate's unborn child is an acting proxy, like Locke.
"Hey, Aaron, Mommy has to go on a trip. Be good because you will never see Mommy again."
I assume she gave Aaron to Claire's mother, then seduced Jack knowing she would get pregnant, the knowledge given via Ben or Ms. Hawking or someone like that.
Not. A. Huge. Leap.
new theory
okay so when they walk into that inner sanctum or whatever where the pendulum lives you see coordinates all over everywhere and they flip to change - presumably to the new predicted coordinates
well i know this is a weird way to make this connection buuuut i noticed that the flipping of those numbers is the same exact sound effect as the countdown timer was when they had to type in the numbers on the island in the hatch
SO what if the dharma initiative was having those numbers typed in to keep the island in one place using that giant electromagnet thing? if the island is always moving then it would kinda make sense that it had to be refreshed every 108 minutes
you guys is that dumb be honest
It makes sense. That station would serve as an anchor to keep the island rooted. That's how Richard and all them know how to get back to it.
Good theory. I think that's called Lostigating or something.
So did Ben kill Penny?
Yay or nay?
Well explain the blood and nervous demeanour when he phoned Jack.
He promised a friend he'd do something and that better not have been killing Penny omfg
Well think about it, he told Widmore he would. He was near a boat. Penny lives on a boat.
No. You missed Ben telling Widmore he would kill his daughter.
omg
Yeah, I'm hoping it's a red herring though.
no no no no no ben did not kill penny
BEN CANNOT KILL PENNY
also, it seemed like whatever ben did, it didn't go very well. killing penny wouldn't send him into a panic like that, would it?
Yeah, well Penny does have a kid. Maybe he killed the kid? Whatever, there was blood so something done got hurt.
i thought he got himself beat up again.
Well his arm was in a sling on the plane. Surely the kid can't have beat him that badly though...
hey, you brought up the runt, not me
also: des did a lot of travelling over the past few episodes. to oxford, then to the US to see widmore (unless he's based in england, which is possible, in which case he'd then had to have gone to the US to meet mrs hawking), and then, presumably, back.
Nothing about that episode made me presume he'd already gone back.
Still, I think it was a red herring and Penny isn't actually dead but, obviously, we'll have to wait to find out...
I think he killed Penny.
How else would he get Desmond on the island again?
If they're recreating circumstances, then Desmond should arrive by boat.
He would give Charlie to Charles Widmore to look after him, and tell Widmore he's going after Ben, which would resolve the father/son-ish issue they have going on, making Desmond a man in Charles's eyes, moving Desmond back to the island and setting up a great conflict.
if ben killed penny i will blow up a hospital
noooooooo
it does make sense
why do you care if Ben killed Penny or not
'fite fite fite', I say
oh yeah that's right
also des goes to see him when he jumps back in time
iiiiiiiiiiiinteresting
i thought john's death would be some kind of fake
By far one of the best episodes this season.
