I started in January and I've lost 8 pounds so far. The diet is a whole foods type diet. I haven't finished the book yet but it's still payed off. It's almost a low carb diet but it lets you eat the carbs in certain foods. The foods are categorized in a Green Light group and a Yellow Light group. Eat as much and as often as you want from the Green Light group while being extremely cautious in the Yellow Light. I had personally been keeping up with calories even though it said not to. My work moved and I quit keeping up with them and haven't lost quite as much as I did when I was so I'm going to start doing that again. Nothing like looking at what you're putting in to make it reality.

On the exercise side, my sons have a Wii and I bought UFC Personal Trainer many moons ago and am putting it to use a few times a week. The game is okay, it makes it feel like you're playing a game sometimes when you're really exercising, but it's got a lot of flaws. The biggest one for me is that the leg strap is funky and doesn't want to stay up. Sometimes it's hard to do the moves if you're having to hold it or pull it up.

I've cheated. I ate a few bowls of ice cream last week. A couple of candy bars. I think this contributed to me not losing but a pound in 3 days vs 3 pounds in 3 days that I had previously done. It's still losing but I think I need to put that kind of stuff off until I reach my goal now.

I've done some things right. Fast food is big. It's easy and it's everywhere. I go to a place that sells grilled chicken salads. I get it without croutons and salad dressing. I get them to put salsa in it instead. It's more like a grilled chicken taco salad without the chips/shell.
