Uniques are ultra-rare in diablo 3 and generally a lot shittier than rares of the same level.

Blizzard pretty much put no effort in designing uniques and most of them have a few set modifiers and then several random mods which makes it virtually impossible to get a good unique without paying 100 mil at the auction house
