i got my first ac130 the other day. i was so excited to get it that i just lit up the battlefield and got like 3 kills. i didn't know it had to reload or i could change weapons or anything like that.
i sniped the shit out of everyone and went like 16-2.
and i hate these fuckers running around with the knifing class. like the lightweight commando marathon bullshit. with double rangers/1887s. fucking gay.

Even though it doesn't last long and I'm crap with it, every time I get a Chopper Gunner I can hardly get any more than 4 kills with it. It's too easy to get shot down.
The other day I got it about 10 times (I was on fire that day) and pretty much every time it got shot down straight away. The only times it didn't was on maps like Skidrow, where they all spawn inside and you can't kill anyone.

Chopper gunner > AC-130.
Sure the chopper is easier to shoot down, but you know when someone is locking on to you. Just look around. Even if they have cold blooded, you can see them. Reloading on the AC-130 is a PITA.
I remember when someone hacked LIVE, there were games with infinite ammo and no reloading. So I set the AC-130 in my killstreaks. The 105mm was shooting as fast as the 30mm. It was awesome. Everyones screen was shaking, no matter where they were on the map.
REAL men use UAV
I was using predictor missile/precision strike/Harrier strike (5,6,7) the other day. It's quite fun as once you get a predator missile you're pretty much guaranteed the other two. Think I'll swap the precision for the Stealth Bomber(9) tomorrow though. That thing gets me wet when I see it in the air!
The precision can be very good, as long as there is a UAV. Otherwise I find you'll be lucky to get one kill. Harriers are on and off. Recently I've been getting double kills with the air strike from it which makes me happy. And depending on if the enemy are on the ball determines how many kills the harrier gets.
Either way I like this set up as you're constantly getting a streak which fun. Rather than using the usual pred/harr/chopper gunner or AC130 combination.
I often find myself using something like UAV/Harriers/Pave Low too, as most people don't use the UAV and it's a massive advantage when one is up. Sometime I use hard-line with the UAV just to annoy the shit out of the enemy. Pretty much a non stop UAV haha.

I usually use UAV, Care Package, and Sentry Gun. Get the kill streaks real quick.
Ive had like 3 sentry guns up at once. They work better than claymores.
In the right place sentry guns are so damn good. A little too easy to be taken out for my liking, which is why I avoid using them.
Plus they don't count toward your kill-streak, whereas Predator missiles do. A lucky hit with them getting two or more and you're straight onto your next kill-streak already.

They count towards your killstreak. I can set one up and get a UAV without even seeing anyone.
And I always put a claymore under them, or put them kinda watching each others back .
Oh right. Don't know why I thought that.
So say you got a five streak, called in your Sentry and then got killed...if you set it up (after you've respawned) and it kills do they count towards your new streak? If so that's epic and I'll be using them more from now on.

Yes. I always hurry and respawn when I have a sentry. If you arre watching the killcam, they dont count.

So you just get on a rail, and tap right on the d pad twice right after you jump off?
Yeah. When you tap twice make sure the care package is still in your hand. You don't have to jump off haha. That's just to pick up the package (which you have to do in order to repeat the cycle). You use one package, for example a UAV, press right, and you'll see that you have another package, be it care, sentry or EAD)

Just found another way of doing it, that requires one man army. Saves time instead of having to grab a new package each time.

You tap right twice just after you've hit the climb button. Your package should reappear in your hand.
It's being a cunt doing it in a ranked game, but I've looked online and most people seem to thing it's easy. Find something that takes longer time to climb. Not a tiny thing that doesn't give you time to tap right twice.
