i'm level 39.

I think I will do mage next. I keep hearing lots about the college and I'm getting curious.

well smithing and enchanting are pretty easy to bump up, but I've never tried grinding alchemy.

How do you bump up smithing and enchanting quickly? Just make a bunch of useless stuff and enchant it then sell it?

Alchemy seems pretty easy to bump up. Even if potion creation fails, you still get experience. So I guess you can just combine random shit all day.

I just kept making iron daggers and enchanting them with banish to get the most cash money out of it.

The hardest part is getting enough soul gems but if you have enough money you can just buy them.

Does it have to be a good soul gem like a grand one? I like saving those for shit I make for myself.

Also, WTF is up with those black soul gems? I have a few and I filled one fighting Red Eagle. I just started using the spells that trap their souls, so I tried it on him, and it captured his soul in a black soul gem.

And where can I get banish? I dont have that enchantment yet.

Not having played much of this, I'd assume Black Soul Gems are the only soul gems that can trap a human soul, just from Oblivion.

You can use any level soul for training.

Black soul gems can hold humanoid (grand) souls but be careful because they can store white souls as well so you might waste a black soul gem on a skeever

the type of soul gem only affects how many charges the enchant has, not the strength of it...I think?

Haven't played more than an hour even though I checked it out with ultra settings. So busy with school and a girlfriend that I haven't had time to focus on this game. Pretty much have Civilization 5 on the background whenever I'm near the computer because it requires the least attention to successfully play.

Well I started working on the Blacksmithing and Enchanting levels. I brought my black smithing level up like 25 levels. Enchanting was already pretty high, and I ran out of soul gems, so I only got that up about 10 levels.

I have like 50 iron daggers in a cupboard at my house. lol

Oh and I need to stop staying up till 3:30 in the morning playing this game when I have school at 8.

i have but not with skyrim lol.
wow did it for me...multiple times. luckily it was during college (not uni)

Oblivion never did that to me. wow did it to me missing classes and shit, but I always went to work.

How else was I gonna pay for my priest to kick ass and/or heal people.

How many hours have you guys put into this game? Im right at 90 so far.

About 210 overall.

Transform in a vampire lord, crossbows, possibly use of the elder scrolls, ice trolls, dragons doing new things, mounted combat(already available in 1.6 beta patch), and some other interesting things upon first glance.

That looks amazing tbh. I'd love a whole expansion about vampires. I was disappointed it wasn't in the vanilla game.
I hope it comes to pc.

I'm tired of open world, unstructured RPGs. I don't even know if I'd be very interested in future Elder Scrolls games, let alone a Skyrim expansion.

I think the exclusive for 360 will only last a month, so you won't have to wait as long as when they were releasing DLC for Fallout New Vegas.

I think there was a lot left out, but if you watch the DICE 2012 Game Jam, you can see some of the things that are already being implemented or possibly will be implemented. It's a really fascinating video.

That sucks. I didn't really get to play a lot of this game since launch, but the last month I've been addicted spending many afternoons playing until the wee late hours of night.

I want to fight that giant mudcrab.

I bought this game used from Gamestop today and it didn't work, so I'm gonna go get a new one tomorrow. Elder Scrolls is awesome though, and seeing the trailer for the expansion reminded me that I never played Skyrim. ES is one of the few game series that I actually play all the way through. That vampire shit looks awesome.

Don't get me wrong; I enjoyed Skyrim a lot at the beginning. But then I completed the main quest line in hardly any time at all, and the game just lost me with its repetitiveness.

At least it beat out Oblivion in this. I just couldn't get through that boring game long enough to finish the main quest. After I became head of the mage guild in Oblivion and cleared the Shivering Isles, I was done.


The only actual RPGs that are anything like open worlds that I like are rogue-likesw.

An update on Dawnguard.

The upcoming "Dawnguard" DLC for The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim will feature a werewolf perk tree. We learned this during our live E3 2012 coverage, where Todd Howard from Bethesda noted that the game's first DLC will feature "a lot of content."
Among that content: The ability to play as a vampire lord or a vampire killer, a special dodge move where you turn into a bat, crossbows for more firepower, a new dragon shout called "Soul Tear" that allows the collection of souls, and even a family of weapons and armor that are more powerful than your Daedric gear. Soon, all the fashionable people in Skyrim will be rocking Dragon Bone gear.
We already knew that Dawnguard will feature vampires, who gain experience through sucking the life of their victims, and have their own exclusive perk tree, but did you know it will feature a new mount? One summoned from a horrible dimension called Soul Cairn? That's on the way as well.
The Dawnguard DLC will provide 20 hours of gameplay for $20. It will be available for the 360 on June 26, and for PC and PS3 some unspecified date after that.

I beat Dawnguard a while back. It was pretty cool. Kinda short though. I went the vampire route, but saved before I made that choice on the game so I could go back and do it the other way. Then I found out the missions are pretty much the same either way. Oh well.

Being a vampire is sweet though. The powers are awesome. I hate how you cant use potions or even pick up stuff when youre a vampire of werewolf.

Yea, the vampire lord powers are pretty badass. And its pretty easy to level up to get them.
