I had to take a break for work, but I finally got back and it's time to setup my recruiting board (pre-season.) The first thing I've noticed is that I have tons more recruiting interest to begin the year. Last season I had maybe 80 guys interested in me, and there were only 4 or 5 3-stars. This year, I've got 184 who have me in the Top 10, and at least 30 of them are 3-stars (probably more but I'm not scrolling further.)
Unfortunately, the top players with interest are in Texas and Louisiana, so I need to do some work to maintain my pipelines to Alabama and Florida (these won't necessarily be so beneficial this year, but when I have access to 5-star players, they will really pay off.) The best player with interest in my is ranked #390 overall, which probably would make him the highest rated player in my program. Unfortunately, he's a B- Speed, C Accel WR, so I won't be recruiting him.
For the first time in forever, I've actually loaded up my recruiting board pre-season, but there's a number of players I want to monitor. My plan to to try to get into the top 10s of some 4 stars early, and cut then quickly if they are moving through the process without me. I'm probably not going to focus on 3-star players until a week or two into the season, as they don't move through the process as quickly.
