Shopping for a hotel room

I wish I had made this thread before I had picked a room. I checked my bank statement and the hotel charged me for $300+ for checking in for the weekend. I checked in this morning (Saturday at 2 AM) and I'm leaving tomorrow at 11 AM. I was told that the going weekend rate was $111 per night. I am about to go down there to check my bill to see what I'm paying for.
