What do you win?
I liked this thread better the first time when it was more extreme and that other guy made it.
You'd be more of a man if you did an actual triathalon.
I have never heard of team triathlon. I've run a few triathlons in my day though. And by a few I mean 2.
you see, last year, this was basically a slow friday. we'd sit around drinking smoking and eating pizza. this is not a competition
of course, then i turned into a teetotaler, but whatever

Yes some stupid report says that Marijuana may not cause lung cancer, but with the destruction of the lungs comes an increased risk of lung cancer

“studies using DTI have not found any abnormalities whatsoever in any part of the brains of adolescent heavy cannabis users. In fact, if anything, adolescent cannabis users tended to have larger brains, with more cells (white matter) than the controls. That doesn’t mean that using cannabis in adolescence makes you smart, but it surely rules out significant global brain damage.”

“Smoking marijuana does not have a long-term effect on intelligence. Only the heavy current users had experienced a decline in their IQ scores over the 10-year period - about four points, But people who had once smoked heavily and then given up were right back up to normal. Light users, former users and abstainers all saw their IQ scores climb between two and six points.”

Study: Alcohol, Tobacco Worse Than Pot
http://cbs3.com/topstories/alcohol.t....2.282305.html
suck on that.
guys babar ended up in the hospital last night and they couldn't get him to start breathing again, I just got off the phone with his mom
this fucking sucks
You never read the link I posted to begin with. You just automatically assumed that I was saying that marijuana causes lung cancer, while I was basically implying that it is an indirect cause of lung cancer. You failed.
And I honestly had no idea what babar was saying in his original post. Unlike you, I am not a marijuana smoker, I don't know any, I never learned what the hell an "8th" is, so I automatically thought he was referring to smoking in general. I'm not sorry that I have too much going to waste my free time "chilling" and smoking a blunt. I actually care about my lungs in general and refuse to partake in smoking of anything. I actually like to be able to breathe.
I did read the link you posted. Had you taken the time to read all of the links I posted (don't worry I never expected you to look at any of them) you would read that other studies had evidence that showed that even with holding the hits in longer there was still no link between marijuana smoking and cancer. Also plenty of successful people smoke every day so just because you smoke doesn't mean you just sit around all day. There is lung damage caused by smoking weed but if you maintain an active lifestyle you wouldn't even notice adverse effects on your lungs.
ITT: inhaling particles of ash and holding them in your lungs causes absolutely no damage to them, even if said activity is long-term.
In conclusion smoke out of a vaporizer (and pvam is an idiot).
Hey Kal El, smoke a blunt and see if it doesn't change your perspective on what's important in your life.
Shut up babar you cunt.
Heroin is alot different than weed, noob.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWhUqo9Aivs
Lol katt williams.
I hate babar.
Lol, I knew that was coming.
Babar, I am just saying you should try heroin before you knock it, and that only happens if you become a junkie and shoot up all the time. Most people I know just shoot up once in a while. I'm not telling you to become a junkie.
What does the angry masterbation fit in?
So I see all these reports about it not causing cancer. That doesn’t mean that it’s good for you ignoramuses. It still causes emphysema and other lovely things. Potheads are about as funny sometimes as black history month.
http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabi...is_myth4.shtml
"Frequent marijuana smokers experience adverse respiratory symptoms from smoking, including chronic cough, chronic phlegm, and wheezing. However, the only prospective clinical study shows no increased risk of crippling pulmonary disease (chronic bronchitis and emphysema)."
Where do you get your information from or do you just assume things. Also no one said it was good for you to smoke it. That does not mean however that marijuana is not good for you because ingesting it in other ways can be extremely beneficial.
Christ you potheads are picky.
http://uk.reuters.com/article/topNew...73105820070731
This would be better if you did an 8-ball of blow and fucked bitches
I'm sorry. I was wrong. It's good for your lungs. Smoke more.
That article is inaccurate because you don't usually smoke 1 gram of weed (average size of a cigarette) in a joint to yourself opposed to a cigarette where you smoke it all to yourself.
I did have a life changing even that changed my perspective on life. It was called a near death experience. I'm just not feeling the vibe you get when you want to smoke a blunt.
I don't read comic books. I admit posting on this forum isn't very productive. My "high" comes from working out at the gym, not from inhaling stuff and getting high. I'm just sorry, the head injury I had from my accident makes stupid enough as it is, I don't need to get high or drunk or end up doing something very stupid and dangerous because i'm not myself.
Okay fine, here is more scientific data.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQEi_Ez_vnw
"However, the only prospective clinical study shows no increased risk of crippling pulmonary disease (chronic bronchitis and emphysema)."
Does not translate into
"Smoke as much as you want you aren't getting cancer or emphysema."
I have a hard time understanding why you think inhaling smoke and holding it in won't negatively affect your lungs.
coqauvin, I apologize for being a douche to you in the past
You are now on my hero list
I can do that to
http://www.abovetheinfluence.com/
FYI I don't mind people smoking pot, I just find most post smokers annoying idiots.
biff pretty much already said it
both kal el and babar just linked to propaganda sites. I'm sure there is valuable information in there, but the fact that it's there is useless when you realize that you have to wade through a ton of bullshit to find it.
link me to a neutral, third-party site that isn't a news article and maybe i'll believe your shit.
Ok, the vast majority of your articles linked are not good sources of information. When we are talking about events, then newspapers and journals are an acceptable source to use, but the tendency for the media to sensationalize the most trivial scientific discovery renders them a bad source, because then the actual discovery and report itself are filtered again with the bias in mind to exagerrate portions that the author believes will attract moer readers. Science journals may be bland, but they are your only real reliable source for studies on this matter.
In the area about lung cancer, the only source you used that was valid was WebMD, but a search on the first two pages of WebMD for marijuana yielded:
mj and infertility - http://www.webmd.com/infertility-and...acco-marijuana
and keep in mind this is from a study done in 2007, not 2000 like the article you quoted in your post. SourceQuote:

For the brain section, you listed:
But in reading this article, it's found that what started the cell development in rats was a sythentic combound in the cannabinoid family. When the experiment was repeated using a natural THC extract, no new cell growth was discovered.Quote:
This is exactly the same as the last article i mentioned. Did you even read these before posting them?Quote:

this article was written in 2003, and shows no label of being reviewed. The article I linked to about brain shrinkage was released in 2008 and has been peer reviewed.Quote:
This was probably the best source you used in all your links. The thing to keep in mind, though, is that they used a really limited about of test subjects (ten and ten controls), and the test relied on subject honesty. The data itself is not conclusive, although it indicates a direction further studies should go down. In the journals own words:
Strictly speaking, in adolescents there is little evidence one way or the other that weed will distort their brain, but there are established links between marijuana and schizophrenia and psychosis, where weed is not strictly the cause, but tends to exacerbate symptoms.Quote:

I don't agree with the part about schizophrenia and psychosis because quite a few people take up smoking so they are baked and don't have to deal with reality. I'd argue, without any evidence, that these conditions were already present.
I also don't agree with the stop smoking weed part. Just don't post about it every time you get high and don't think your support of medical pot fools anyone.
both the links iin question state that weed doesn't cause these things, but if you are predisposed towards them, it makes the symptoms worse. For some, it can be the proverbial snowflake, and for others it's simply another factor that keeps the psychosis going strong.
So, yes, the conditions were always present. I never said they weren't.
I have the sound muted, and I can only guess two things.
1. This person's friend(s) deliberately procured and fitted the bowl with bad marijuana without his consent.
2. This guy is a noob.
I am going to take a stab at this and say two is the most probable cause.
itt people get uppity about things that are personal choices and don't really matter either way
so i take this to mean that babar lost the triathlon
Dude, put me on your team... i could smoke an eighth in like 15 minutes.
I've done all of those as well. I wonder if I should get help.
* Needs drugs or alcohol to ... cope with everyday life.
this is the only real point of concern on that list, but really how would you ever find that out?
You must immerse yourself in the drug culture in order to get to the bottom of this matter.
You can identify a dope fiend by the white from inner tension and that his pants will be crusted with semen from constantly jacking off when he can't find a rape victim.
